OVERVIEW
Mikumi National Park, Maasai Cultural Experience & Waterfalls Hiking.
This safari offers a balanced experience of culture, wildlife, and nature. Guests will explore Maasai traditions, enjoy a full-day game drive, and complete the journey with a scenic waterfall hike.
TOUR PLAN
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL & MAASAI CULTURAL TOUR
Guests will be picked up from the Airport, Hotel, or Ferry terminal for travelers arriving from Zanzibar. They will then be transferred to the electric train station (SGR) for a comfortable journey to Morogoro Region.
Upon arrival at Morogoro Region, our driver will welcome the guests and provide a short safari briefing then transfer to Mikumi area in a comfortable vehicle for a hotel check in and Lunch.
In the evening, guests will visit a traditional Maasai village for an authentic cultural experience. During the visit, they will learn about Maasai customs, social structure, traditional houses (Manyattas), livestock practices, and daily life. Guests will also experience traditional songs and dances and engage directly with community members.
DAY 2 – FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
After early breakfast, departure to Mikumi National Park for a full-day game drive. The park is known for its open plains and rich wildlife population.
Guests will have the opportunity to see Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, Buffaloes, Wildebeests, Hippos, and a variety of Bird species. The guide will provide professional insights into wildlife behavior, ecosystems, and conservation.
Lunch will be served inside the park. After having lunch the game drive continues in the afternoon before returning to the Hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 – WATERFALLS HIKING & DEPARTURE
After breakfast, departure for a guided hike to nearby waterfalls.The hike covers approximately 7 km for both going and returning. Also the hike offers scenic landscapes, fresh air, and an opportunity to enjoy Tanzania’s natural beauty.
When you reach the waterfalls, you will have time to relax, take photos, swim and enjoy the cool water, and experience the peaceful environment. It is a perfect way to end the safari in a calm and refreshing setting.
After the activity, transfer back to the agreed drop-off point, marking the end of the safari.
