DAY TRIP MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK FROM DAR ES SALAAM BY ELECTRIC TRAIN (SGR)

An unforgettable one-day safari from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park using Tanzania's modern Electric Train (SGR). This safari is perfect for travelers who are already staying in Dar es Salaam, arriving on a late-night international flight, or coming from Zanzibar by Ferry and looking for a quick wildlife adventure.

The journey combines a smooth Train ride with an unforgettable game drive in Mikumi National Park, where visitors will have a chance to see Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Lions, Buffaloes, and many other wild animals in their natural habitat. After exploring the park, travelers return comfortably to Dar es Salaam on the same day, making it an ideal safari experience for visitors with limited time in Tanzania.

TOUR PLAN

Pick-Up and Transfer to Electric Train Station (SGR)

Guests will be picked up by our driver from their hotel in Dar es Salaam, from the Airport for travelers arriving on a late-night flight, or from the Ferry terminal for visitors coming from Zanzibar by boat. After meeting the guests, they will be transferred comfortably to the electric train station for departure to Morogoro Region.

Electric Train Journey to Morogoro Region

Guests will board Tanzania’s modern and  comfortable electric train that leaves at exactly 6:00AM to Morogoro Region. The train ride takes approximately one and a half hours and offers a smooth travel experience with beautiful views along the way.

Morogoro to Mikumi National Park Main Gate

Upon arrival in Morogoro town, guests will meet another driver who will transfer them to Mikumi National Park. During the drive, travelers will enjoy views of the Tanzanian countryside and local landscapes before arriving at the park entrance.

Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

After park entry procedures, guests will begin an exciting game drive inside Mikumi National Park. The safari offers opportunities to see a wide variety of wildlife including the BIG FOUR. The park is also famous for its open plains and beautiful scenery, making it ideal for wildlife viewing and Photography.

Return Journey to Dar es Salaam

After completing the game drive, guests will travel back to Morogoro town and board the electric train to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, our driver will transfer guests back to their Hotel, Airport, or Ferry terminal, marking the end of an unforgettable one-day safari experience.
